Why use supplements? Explanation + Forever supplements by life stage
Our body needs vitamins, minerals and other nutrients every day to function properly. In an ideal world, we get everything from fresh, balanced nutrition. But due to stress, ageing, a busy lifestyle, medication use, reduced absorption or processed foods, that is not always possible. In that case, supplements can be a practical addition.
đ Supplements can help to:
- Address deficiencies
- Support your energy metabolism âĄ
- Support your immune system đĄïž
- Keep muscles and joints flexible đŠŽ
đ From what age are supplements useful?
Everyone can benefit from extra support, but there are life stages in which supplements are often especially relevant. Below you will find a practical overview with examples from the Forever range.
Children & teenagers
Growth requires a good nutritional foundation. As a supplement, some parents choose a multivitamin for children. Example: Forever VIT.
From about age 25
Around this age, natural collagen production gradually decreases. Some people then choose collagen or mobility support. Example: Forever Marine Collagen.
From age 40
- Forever Arctic Sea â omega-3 (EPA/DHA)
- Forever Move â mobility support
- Vitolize Men â developed for men
- Forever Daily â multivitamin/minerals as a foundation
From age 50
Bones, immunity and digestion receive more attention for many people. Consider: Forever Calcium and (where appropriate) Arctic Sea.
What does our body not produce itself (sufficiently)?
- Vitamin C â must be obtained through food/supplements
- Vitamin D3 â in the Netherlands there is often insufficient sunlight in autumn/winter
- Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) â when there is little oily fish in the diet
- Vitamin B12 â especially relevant for vegans/vegetarians
- Collagen â decreases from around age 25 onwards
